The Sake Brewery and Tasting tour was fantastic. I highly recommend taking a side trip to Tokoname to see this traditional, family run Sake business. Kaoru and her staff did a great job conducting the tour in English and provided an end to end walk through of the Sake brewing process. They provided detailed insight into the each ingredient used, the equipment used and the overall production method: they were happy to answer all of my questions.
The traditions of Sake brewing are on full display and Kaoru encourages innovation to keep her business strong.
I enjoyed the Sake tasting as well. Each of the grain types and flavor profiles were explained in detail – now I know a bit more about Sake and will feel less intimidated when ordering some in the future. Again, well worth the trip to see (and taste) delicious Sake. This also makes for a fun group or family outing!
We really enjoyed your brewery tour, thank you so much. It was very interesting, we enjoyed learning about your company and the traditional methods and we also enjoyed tasting your delicious sake.
You and your team were very knowledgeable and kind.
