They can’t wait to meet you!
The tour was a very good experience and Patricia is one of the highlights of our whole trip to Japan. It surprised us that it was so private (just us and the guide), we expected more people. Patricia was wonderful, we had trouble finding the meeting spot, because of the halloween party but she gave us good instructions and waited for us (at the end we were there right on time, but not earlier), she also told us many interesting stories and gave us ideas for other tourist spots to visit. The food was wonderful, we enjoyed everything, especially hitsumabushi and udon. Yama-chan at the end was very charming, it has perfect marketing, we kept looking for Yama-chan stuff throughout our trip in Nagoya. Unfortunately, one of the spots we were supposed to visit was already sold out in the evening, so instead we got shrimp crackers (very good crackers – I loved them.).
We had an unforgettable evening with Patricia, our tour guide.
She is really lovely and made the evening special with her knowledge and great personality.
We felt very comfortable with her and would recommend the tour with her as a guide to everyone!
It was great to get an insight into the delicacies of Nagoya and to visit hidden places that we would never have visited on our own.
The food was excellent! Our personal highlight were the chicken wings in the Izakaya. We liked the place so much that we stayed there until late in the evening after the tour and went there again 🙂
Highly recommended!

Worth it. You think you read so many web pages that you are prepared for Japan, but you aren’t.
We could have tried some of these things on our own of course, but we definitely would have missed out on a lot by doing so. Little things like the service button at one restaurant, the different ways to eat the eel, the way you eat Nagoya noodles, and the hidden gem of a huge subterranean market with every snack and dessert imaginable. In addition, we got tips about navigation, customs and laws to follow, and more.
Our food tour of Nagoya was not boring, as promised. The insight to Japanese culture was perhaps even better than the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food was amazing! It was the first time I had unagi and it was very tasty! My favorite was the Nagoya spicy chicken wings though. Erica was a great and amusing tour guide! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the tour.
