Nagoya Autumn Tours 2026

Experience Autumn in Nagoya Like a Local. Discover limited-time autumn tours, refreshing countryside escapes, and unforgettable experiences across Nagoya and Central Japan.

Why Visit Nagoya in Autumn?

Autumn is one of the most rewarding seasons to explore Nagoya and Central Japan. As the summer heat fades, cooler weather makes walking, hiking, and sightseeing much more comfortable, while harvest-season food, traditional festivals, and seasonal cultural events bring the city to life.

Later in the season, brilliant red and golden foliage transforms Japanese gardens, historic towns, and mountain trails throughout Aichi, Gifu, and the Kiso Valley.

Whether you want to hike the historic Nakasendo, explore a samurai castle town, enjoy matcha in a traditional Japanese house, or discover Nagoya’s food and sake culture, autumn offers a completely different way to experience the region.

The best period in Nagoya is around late November into early December, with places such as Tokugawa Garden and Shirotori Garden becoming major seasonal attractions.

This year’s autumn availability goes from November 14th to December 6th.

Please note that weather conditions influence the timing of autumn leaves in Nagoya and can vary from year to year. The autumn season is short, and while we have scheduled our autumn tours during the estimated autumn period, there is no guarantee that the leaves will be in full color during your visit.
