Join one of the most exclusive behind-the-scenes events in the sumo world: a sumo stable post-tournament dinner party.
Known in Japanese as Senshuraku-kai, this special celebration is held on the final evening of a Grand Sumo Tournament. It is where the stablemaster, wrestlers, supporters, sponsors, and invited guests gather to celebrate the end of the 15-day tournament.
On Sunday, July 26, 2026, after the final day of the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament, a very limited number of guests will have the rare opportunity to attend a Stable post-tournament dinner party in Nagoya.
This is one of the rarest ways to experience sumo in Japan.
Unlike arena tickets or standard guided tours, a sumo stable post-tournament dinner party is usually not open to the general public. These celebrations are normally reserved for stable supporters, fan club members, local sponsors, wrestlers, and invited guests connected to the sumo world.
For the 2026 Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament, Nagoya is not boring has secured just 5 invitation-style seats.
This is extremely limited access to a side of sumo that most travelers never get to see.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to step into the social side of sumo, meet people from inside the sumo community, enjoy a celebratory dinner, and experience the atmosphere of the tournament’s closing night from a completely different perspective.
Only 5 guest spots are available.
This experience is expected to sell out quickly.
A Grand Sumo Tournament lasts 15 days. On the final evening, many sumo stables hold a private or semi-private celebration to thank the people who supported them during the tournament.
This celebration is called Senshuraku-kai in Japanese, but for visitors, it is easiest to understand it as a sumo stable post-tournament dinner party.
Unlike watching sumo inside the arena, this experience gives you a rare glimpse into the community behind the sport. Wrestlers usually attend in formal kimono, the stablemaster may give a speech, and the evening often includes reflections on the tournament, greetings from supporters, food, drinks, and a festive atmosphere.
Because of this, entry to a real stable party is extremely limited and normally not available to general travelers.
This experience is perfect for:
This experience may not be suitable for guests looking for a casual meet-and-greet, guaranteed photos, or a highly structured tourist activity.
