The Nagoya Sake Tasting and Izakaya Night Tour offers a fun and authentic introduction to Japan’s nightlife culture, guided by our Certified Sake Expert.
Your night begins at the iconic Mirai TV Tower sky deck, where you’ll toast with your first drink above the city. This spring, the sky deck features sakura projection mapping, giving a wondrous, pink hue to the city views.
Then, you’ll journey to a lively yokocho-style alley, lined with retro-style izakaya, where you’ll dive into Japan’s drinking culture and learn how izakaya bring people together over food and sake.
From there, your guide will lead you to a modern izakaya (Japanese pub) to taste a variety of sake, each with its own unique story, flavor profile, and regional origin.
Along the way, you’ll learn:
– The differences between types of sake (junmai, ginjo, and more)
– How sake is made and how to drink it like a local
– How to pair sake with food, including local izakaya snacks
This is more than just a tasting, it’s a cultural deep-dive into the world of Japanese sake and izakaya, led by a passionate and certified sake guide.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned sake enthusiast, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Japan’s most iconic drink.
